NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A man was arrested in connection to a July shooting that left another man in critical condition in New Haven.

Mark Reckord, 22, was charged with the following: • First-degree assault • First-degree attempt to commit assault • Carrying a pistol without a permit • First-degree reckless endangerment • Illegal discharge of a firearm

On July 26 at approximately 2:30 a.m., a 23-year-old male victim from Stratford was shot in the area of Crown and Temple Streets.

He was hospitalized in critical condition but has since stabilized, according to police.

Initial investigation revealed that the shooting stemmed from a large fight in front of the parking garage on Crown Street.
