Camino De La Plaza, the last exit on southbound Interstate 5 in San Ysidro before reaching the U.S.-Mexico border, will experience a temporary closure for pipe installation this weekend.

The closure will take place from 9 p.m. Sunday until 6 a.m. Monday, according to Caltrans.

Motorists were advised to detour by turning right off the Via De San Ysidro Boulevard exit, left onto Calle Primera and continue toward Camino De La Plaza via Willow Road.

There is no exit past Camino De La Plaza, and drivers will be led to the border, Caltrans said.
