The Savannah Bananas game at Chicago's Rate Field was delayed by severe storms moving through the region Saturday.
The Bananas, whose rules include playing two hour games, had just started the contest when rain began again at the South Side ballpark, with the grounds crew putting the tarp back on the field mere minutes after the clock began running.
The teams intend to resume play after the rain moves through, but there was no word on how long the delay will last.
Photos and videos at the game show crowds of fans taking shelter inside covered parts of Rate Field.
