Entergy New Orleans confirmed Monday evening that a Mylar balloon caused the outage.

A photo shows Mylar balloons tangled in power lines in the Fairgrounds neighborhood.

"After investigation, the cause of last Saturday's unplanned outage was determined to be a Mylar balloon impacting power lines in the area," Entergy said in a Facebook post.
