VERNON, CT (WFSB) - A 40-year-old man was rescued after getting stuck in a slide on a school playground in Vernon.
The fire department responded to Northeast Elementary School for the report of a man trapped in a tube slide around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Firefighters said the man was wedged in the middle portion of the slide.
Authorities gave the man oxygen and said he was extremely uncomfortable, especially with the hot temperatures.
“Ventilation was also set up to help cool the space in which the patient was stuck,” said firefighters.
The man was freed within 30 minutes.
Crews said he was evaluated and refused treatment.
