A big rig vehicle loaded with seven Tesla vehicles was caught fire on the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway at Balboa Boulevard in Sylmar Saturday evening.

The cars were burning on the 5 Freeway south of Balboa Boulevard, north of the 210 Freeway, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

Both the car hauler and at least four vehicles were engulfed in flames when fire crews responded to the scene, according to the LAFD.

The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert shutting down all lanes, including truck lanes, just north of Balboa Boulevard in Sylmar.

No one was injured in the fire, the LAFD said.

It was not immediately clear what caused the fire.
