LOS ANGELES — The Dodgers got off to a walking lead against Dylan Cease and never looked back in a 6-0 victory over the Padres on Saturday night at Dodger Stadium that was pretty much decided in the first two innings.

Four of the first five Padres batters got hits off Blake Snell, but none of them scored, thanks in large part to Will Smith throwing out three would-be base stealers to set a career high. Smith is the first Dodgers catcher to throw out three runners trying to steal in the same game since Russell Martin in 2010.
