BRANDON, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Class A amateur baseball got things started in Brandon on Friday.

Brookings and Yankton met at 11am to see who would play in the semi-final game that same afternoon.

A close contest all the way until the 8th inning where Harrisburg broke out to score a few runs.

Yankton sends Brookings home winning 5-3.

But Yankton would be staying on the field to play again less than 30 minutes later.

Harrisburg came out ready as Dalton Lehnen picked up two strikeouts, including one that ended the inning, he’d finish his outing with 12 strikeouts.

In Friday’s matchup with Renner, the Woodies scored just once.

In the first inning of Saturday’s game they put up five runs, three of those from the bat of Mark Abrahamson.
