GRANITE QUARRY — There’s a new barbershop in town, and the barber pole on the front of 409 S. Salisbury GQ Ave. is evidence of that fact.

When you enter the building, you find a bright, two-chair shop with lots of chairs for customers to sit and chat while they wait their turn in the chair.

Kevin Kirks, who owns Granite Quarry Barber Company, said the shop “may not be the biggest, at the same time it feels like it’s more welcoming to the people that come in. They feel like it’s more intimate. They get an opportunity to talk because it’s not so big and loud.”
