Bishop

New Bethel Baptist Church will be celebrating its annual homecoming on Aug. 24 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Dennis W. Bishop, senior pastor at First Waughtown Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, as the guest minister.

Bishop has pastored at First Waughtown Baptist Church since 1983. Accepting the call to preach at age 13, Bishop became known as the boy preacher and has spent nearly five decades spreading the gospel throughout the East Coast.

Annual revival will be held on Aug. 25 and 26 at 6:30 p.m. nightly. The guest minister for Monday night will be the Rev. Dr. Roy L. Dennis Jr., pastor of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church in Salisbury. Dennis is currently the moderator of the Rowan Baptist Association. On Tuesday, Rev. James A.
