In South Dakota, century-old creationist ‘Monkey Trial’ is still relevant

Today, almost exactly a century after the infamous Scopes “Monkey” Trial in July 1925, many conservative American Christians and right-wing nationalists, including in South Dakota,are still laboring mightily to shield all children (not just their own) from the reality of biological evolution.

This is cultural guerrilla warfare, which weaponizes disinformation, and it’s happening nationwide in some fashion or other.
