MEDINA, Ohio – Thanks to a grant from the Ohio Arts Council, the band Swizzle Stick will bring their high energy Motown, funk and soul sound to Medina’s gazebo Friday, Aug. 22 at 8 p.m.

The concert is being presented by Access the Arts, a nonprofit organization with the goal of making music, art, dance and other artforms accessible to the community.

“We apply for Ohio Arts Council grants for some of our concerts, but especially for the free arts programing that we have done for the past seven years,” said Jane Back of Access the Arts. “We provide music, art and dance for groups such as the Medina Juvenile Detention Center, the Medina County Home, Lodi Family Center, Cups Café, Hope Recovery Center, Integrated Community Solutions and AC Passage Day Center.
