Changes might be in the offing to Roswell’s city code as it relates to cannabis businesses after some city councilors said Thursday night the 2021 resolution needs to be reviewed and possibly revised.

At one point, one of the city’s longtime Planning and Zoning employees was asked to respond to a councilor seeking the employee’s opinion about the cannabis code. Councilor Christopher Cortez asked Merideth Hildreth, the city’s planning and zoning administrator, for her professional opinion about the cannabis ordinance.

She replied that it was “very restrictive to cannabis establishments.”
