A spectator at Stockton's Splash was 'taken ill' during an activity sparking a 999 response. Four ambulance vehicles and two police cars went to the site on Saturday afternoon.
The person, reportedly a woman, was watching one of the activities at the leisure centre when she fell ill. Splash staff "responded immediately" and emergency services were contacted. A picture on social media showed a line of ambulance and police vehicles outside of the popular centre.
The woman was taken to hospital for treatment, say Splash bosses. A spokesperson for Tees Active, which runs Splash, said: "We can confirm that a spectator was taken ill during one of our activities at Splash yesterday afternoon. Our team, alongside the emergency services, responded immediately and they were cared for promptly.
