In its 46th year, the Country Club of New Bedford Women’s Four-Ball Tournament will run three days and feature eight member-guest teams.
“It’s the smallest it’s ever been,” said CCNB Women’s Four-Ball chairperson Diane Lacoste, noting that it would have 32 teams in its hay day. “This is very different for us. We want to grow it again. We’re small this year, but I know next year it will be bigger.
“We lost a couple of ladies with injuries. We had a bunch of people that would have played, but couldn’t play. We did lose a number of people to other clubs.”
There was talk of switching from a four-ball format to an invitational, but Lacoste has been adamant about keeping the CCNB Women’s Four-Ball going.
