The West Virginia Young Musicians Fund (WVYMF) has provided more than 100 students with instruments to participate in school band programs, and it’s continuing this mission with its newly updated website, according to WVYMF President Michael Hess.

The Children’s Instrument Recycle Program (CHIRP) of the WVYMF accepts donations of instruments -- including trumpets, trombones, clarinets, saxophones and flutes -- in any condition. Partnering with Bandland Music and Percussion, located in Clarksburg, West Virginia, WVYMF members collect, evaluate and sanitize the donated instruments, repairing them to proper playing conditions for students in grades five through eight.
