Beshear's intelligence and good looks will appeal to voters. He presents as a middle of the road person who buys his suits "off the rack," as I and most Americans do. He rejects progressive nonsense and is able to win in a red state where other Democrats lose.

He will need a running mate who will attract the female vote and not turn off the average male voter. His best choice would be Amy Klobuchar — intelligent, sharp and not threatening. Highly experienced, and I believe the average woman, both Republican and Democrat, will see her as someone they can trust and rely on. Almost all voters will feel comfortable and reassured voting for this kind of a ticket.
