Temperatures will dip into the low 70s Saturday night , the weather service said.
Sunday, the high temperature is expected to be about 88 degrees under mostly sunny skies. The average high for the date in Islip is 82 degrees.
A south wind will blow Sunday at 7 to 15 mph, the weather service said.
Showers and thunderstorms are forecast for Sunday night with the chance of precipitation pegged at 40%. The low temperature should be about 68 degrees.
