Carson Ragsdale started for the Tides and pitched three innings with one hit and four strikeouts. It was his third good appearance since being claimed off waivers from the Giants, and longest yet. Thaddeus Ward was awarded with the win with two shutout innings following Ragsdale.

After loading the bases with no outs in the first inning, the Tides had to settle for just one run on a double play ball from Vimael Machín. They did not fail in their next attempt. Reed Trimble and Emmanuel Rivera sandwiched doubles around a Maverick Handley walk to score two runs to start the third inning. They are the same three batters who reached to start the first. Machín followed with a walk to set up an RBI single from Terrin Vavra and a sac fly from José Barrero.
