A 27-year-old man died Saturday after losing control of his car in Franklin Township, police said.

The man from Malaga was driving eastbound on Marshall Mill Road at about 7:49 p.m. As the car entered a bend in the road near the 800 block, he lost control of the vehicle. It left the right side of the roadway and went into a farm field, Franklin Township police said in a press release Sunday.

The soft soil caused the car to overturn several times before coming to rest about 326 feet from the road. The driver was ejected through the vehicle’s sunroof, police said.
