After a quarter century of pacing the sidelines at Perrysburg High School, the Yellow Jackets’ all-time wins leader coach Dave Boyce announced his retirement.

Boyce went 410-162 leading the varsity boys basketball team. He secured 12 Northern Lakes League championships and earned numerous coaching awards, including Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association Division I State Coach of the Year honors in 2010.

The East Toledo native graduated from Cardinal Stritch in 1978. Boyce then majored in finance and minored in education at Bowling Green State University, which he said sparked his initial interest in coaching.

Prior to Perrysburg, Boyce coached at Northwood (1982-85, 23-40 record) and Galloway Westland (1986-2000, 185-125). His more than 600 career wins made him just the 19th co
