ATLANTA — Congresswoman Nikema Williams and Atlanta City Councilmember Andrea Boone hosted a joint town hall on Thursday to answer questions from residents on how the federal budget cuts could impact Atlantans in the Georgia's 5th Congressional District.
The event, hosted at Jackson Memorial Baptist Church, drew a crowd of about 200 supporters and a handful of protestors who started firing questions at Congresswoman Williams about her stance on the war in Gaza.
"I've led letters with members of the Congressional Black Caucus that I led to address the humanitarian crisis," said the Congresswoman after the town hall. "How do we get food delivery in? When countries are at war, civilian populations should not be in the middle."
