Two men are dead and a third person injured after a triple shooting Saturday night in Kansas City, Kansas.

Police responded shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday to the 1600 block of Washington Boulevard , said Capt. Osvaldo Navarro with the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department.

There, officers found the two men and a third victim, a female, who had been shot. The age of the female victim was not immediately provided.

One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene, Navarro said. The two other victims were taken to a hospital, where the second man later died. The female victim’s injuries were not life-threatening, Navarro said.

Police said the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.

The killings are Kansas City, Kansas’ 13th and 14th homicides of the year, according to data track
