PHOENIX (AZFamily) — It’s been a nice morning with lows in the upper 70s to the lower 80s with plenty of sunshine.

Expect to see a high of 105 on Sunday, which is our average high this time of year. The monsoon will take a break for the next few days as well.

A ridge of high pressure will begin to dominate our forecast, starting to heat things up tomorrow. The high on Monday is expected to reach 107.

Even hotter temperatures are expected later in the week. We have declared First Alert Weather Days from Wednesday through Friday when we expect to see temps above 110.

For the High Country, we will see a few isolated thunderstorms along the rim this afternoon, and a slight chance of storms in southeastern Arizona.
