LOS ANGELES – Residents in a South Los Angeles neighborhood say they are facing a “cat zombie” invasion after dozens of stray felines have infested their neighborhood.
“I would call it a cat like…some type of zombie thing that’s going on,” said resident Dennis Gary.
Gary alleges there’s upwards of 100 cats trolling the area scrounging for food that then attracts coyotes.
Residents spoke with Leo Stallworth of Channel 7, who erroneously attributed the cat invasion to occurring in the city of Inglewood.
The news broadcast panned to a street sign, which indicated Stallworth was reporting from South LA and not Inglewood.
A quick Google search of the area indicated the infestation is in the 8700 block of S. Wilton Place, which is located within Los Angeles city limits.
