The Zulu Ensemble will celebrate its 45th anniversary with a formal program honoring decades of music and community contributions.

The event is scheduled for Aug. 17 at 2 p.m. at St. James Methodist Church of Louisiana, located at 1925 Ursulines Ave. in New Orleans. Advertisement

Presented by the Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club, the program is titled "Look How Far We’ve Come with the Lord." It will feature scripture readings, prayers, musical selections and performances by the Zulu Choir.

The celebration will also include remarks from leadership and recognition of the ensemble’s 2025 roster, highlighting Director Darrell K. Sims and other officers.
