The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for the vehicle and driver involved in a crash that killed a bicyclist in Seminole County on Saturday.

FHP said the crash happened at 9:46 p.m. when a vehicle traveling northbound on US 17-92 hit the bicyclist who was traveling in the marked bicycle lane between the outside travel lane and the right turn lane. A witness told FHP that the vehicle entered the outside northbound travel lane of 17-92 from State Road 414. The vehicle then fled north on 17-92 after the crash.

Troopers said the bicyclist, a 25-year-old Winter Springs man, was pronounced dead at the crash scene.

FHP investigators located the vehicle involved, a 2016 BMW X6, and it has been taken into evidence. Troopers are still gathering information to determine who was driving the vehicle
