The Comanche Police Department issued the following press release Sunday morning:

On Sunday, Aug. 17 at approximately 5:17 a.m., officers with the Comanche Police Department and the Comanche County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a stabbing at a residence in the 200 block of North Pinto Street in Comanche.

Upon arrival, officers located both the suspect and the victim. The suspect sustained self-inflicted injuries and was transported by ambulance to a hospital for medical treatment. The victim was also transported by ambulance and is expected to survive.

At this time, investigators believe this was a domestic violence incident, and there are no ongoing threats to the community. The case remains an active investigation.
