A car has flipped onto its roof following a multi-vehicle crash on the M80 near Glasgow . ‌

Emergency services raced to the incident at Junction 6 near Cumbernauld at around 2pm on Sunday, August 17. ‌

Officers from Police Scotland and paramedics from the Scottish Ambulance Service remain at the scene following the collision. ‌

It is currently unknown if there are any injuries.

Traffic was earlier being diverted away from the crash site , however, the stretch of road has since been reopened after being closed for nearly three hours. Article continues below

Traffic is, however, still congested on the northbound carriageway on the approach to Junction 6.
