Police have arrested a boy of 17 as officers were seen 'swarming' a street in Kitts Green earlier today.

Two people, the teenager and a 50-year-old man, were taken into custody after a police stinger was thrown out to stop a suspected 'crime car' in Ridpool Road on Sunday, August 17.

A large amount of drugs were recovered during the stop - which comes as part of Operation Target.

A resident said he had been 'loads of police cars' near to Ridpool School as he queried what had happened.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "Two people have been arrested and a large amount of drugs have been recovered in Kitts Green this morning (Sunday).
