Glenmoore Eagle Little League’s run in Williamsport has come to a close.
The team from Chester County, Pa., lost Saturday in an elimination game to Clarendon Hills Little League of Illinois, 3-2.
After a scoreless first two innings , Clarendon Hills got three runners across the plate in the third. The deficit would prove too much for Glenmoore Eagle to overcome, although they did not allow more runs.
In the fourth inning, Glenmoore Eagle showed they weren’t finished, scoring two runs on four hits. Ultimately, the fourth-inning fire just wasn’t enough, and the team suffered a season-ending loss.
The youngsters didn’t end the season with nothing to show for it, though.
