Daniel Berger was a late WD on Sunday morning at the BMW Championship, a move that ends Berger’s season-long revival.

The 32-year-old entered the week at No. 33 in the FedEx Cup standings. With the WD, he will not advance to the season-ending Tour Championship next week. Berger cited a finger injury as the reason for pulling out. He was two over through the first 54 holes at Caves Valley.

Though his year ended on a sour note, Berger’s rejuvenation was one of the stories of the season. The four-time tour winner and former Ryder Cupper’s career was in doubt after missing nearly two years due to a back injury. However, Berger earned status for 2025 with a T-2 finish at the RSM Classic last fall.
