PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A woman was hospitalized after being hit by a car in Northeast Portland Sunday morning, police said.

Just before 9 a.m., officers responded to reports of a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at Northeast 122nd Avenue and Glisan Street.

On arrival, they found a woman had been hit and she was taken to a hospital.

Police said she was seriously hurt but is expected to survive.

The driver remained at the scene, officials said.
