CLEVELAND — The Guardians had their streak of five consecutive series victories snapped this weekend by the Atlanta Braves , but Cleveland still has a chance to avoid a dreaded sweep on Aug. 17.

Meanwhile, the Guardians need to rebound from consecutive losses for the sake of their playoff hunt. The Guardians will enter their third and final showdown against the Braves 2½ games behind the New York Yankees for the third and final wild-card spot in the American League and 8½ games behind the Detroit Tigers for the AL Central division lead. There are roughly six weeks left in the MLB regular season.
