Browns coach Kevin Stefanski refused during a Zoom call Aug. 17 to announce a decision on who the team's starting quarterback will be for the Sept. 7 season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals . However, he did seem to indicate there is a timeline developing toward getting to that decision.

"Yeah, I want to get through the next couple of days," Stefanski said, "but certainly that's something that we're going to do here sooner than later."

All signs have continued to point to the starter being 40-year-old veteran Joe Flacco, although Stefanski danced around the question of if anyone had been ruled out of the mix. He also declined to say if keeping all four quarterbacks — K
