A 68-year-old man died after his SUV hit a highway guide rail Sunday morning in Dauphin County, police said.
The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. on the ramp from I-83 to I-81 north in Lower Paxton Township. The driver was wearing a seatbelt, police said.
The man was traveling on a right curve but veered left, hit the guide rail, flipping the vehicle onto its roof. The car ended up on the left shoulder of the ramp.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not released.
The left lane of the I-83 to I-81 north ramp was shut down until around 11 a.m.
State police are investigating the crash. The man’s name was withheld until his next of kin is notified.
