Wilkes-Barre last week released details regarding its free summer concert on Public Square, which will take place on Saturday.

Bret Alexander will be the opening performance at 7 p.m. John Oates and his Good Road Band will begin the headlining set at approximately 8 p.m.

The concert will feature John Oates’ greatest hits like “Maneater,” Out of Touch,” I Can’t Go for That (No Can Do),” You Make My Dreams (Come True)” and She’s Gone,” according to a press release.

The event will include local food vendors Bulldog BBQ, Cosenza’s on the Go, Geraldo’s Pizza, Handel’s Ice Cream, Snooks Wings and Things, Tony Thomas Lemonade and Yogi’s Potato Pancakes.

Alcohol is not permitted on Public Square during the event. Attendees are welcome to bring their own chairs and blankets to the concert.
