HARTFORD — Second-half substitute Kyle Edwards scored at the 46-minute mark on Saturday night, leading Hartford Athletic to a 1-1 draw with FC Tulsa in a USL Championship game at Trinity Health Stadium.
The win over the Western Conference leaders pushed Hartford’s unbeaten streak to six (3-0-3). Athletic has not lost since a 1-0 defeat to Tampa Bay on July 16.
Tulsa (11-3-6) and leading the West by eight points, took the lead in first-half extra time on a Hartford own goal. Following a Tulsa free kick late in the opening half, Athletic defender Joe Farrell, while trying to knock the ball away, accidentally knocked it into his own net for a brief 1-0 Tulsa lead.
With the draw, Hartford now holds the seventh position in the Eastern Conference playoff standings with 23 points, two ahead of
