Kelly’s stint with the team proves to be a phantom one this time, appearing in precisely zero games since being called up on the 13th. But he did play in two games earlier in August, so he is not a fully-fledged “ghost Diamondback”. Instead, we get to see Crismatt, who will probably lose his status as a D-back trivia answer: what pitcher has more losses for Arizona than earned runs allowed? That’s because, as mentioned in Snake Bytes, his only appearance previously saw him take the loss in extras, after allowing the Manfred Man to score.
