BRAINERD — A new exhibit of artwork by artist Dan MacLaughlin is on display at the Brainerd Public Library, 416 S Fifth Street, Brainerd, through September. The exhibit consists of 23 beautiful wood relief prints.
McLaughlin began creating wood cut prints in 2023. He was inspired by a few oak cross-sections that had been cut by his father and wanted to find a way to create a meaningful display of them in his home.
He was inspired by a few other artists he saw and was eager to learn this print-making technique. MacLaughlin has always had an appreciation for art and nature and is now fusing them together, bringing nature into homes.
