Church event sends students, teachers off for school year with a blessing

The Rev. Kristofer Roberson raised his hands as the younger members of his congregation gathered around him in a loose semi-circle.

Frederick County Public Schools is scheduled to start classes on Wednesday, and with the start of the school year bearing down, Roberson prayed that God would help the students in front of him grow in knowledge and wisdom over the coming year.
