Two men from New York state have been arrested for allegedly binding two people inside their residence Sunday during a home invasion robbery in Redondo Beach.

Officers responded at 5:55 a.m. Sunday to a report of a person pointing a firearm at another person who was inside a vehicle, according to Lt. Vince Dileva of the Redondo Beach Police Department.

The caller disconnected before providing a specific location, but officers were able to use departmental resources to trace the phone to the 1900 block of Mathews Avenue, Dileva said. While trying to determine the location of the reported incident, officers learned that two residents had been the victims of a home invasion robbery, he added.
