Two New York men were in custody, accused of staging a home-invasion robbery at a Redondo Beach home Sunday that sent one victim to a hospital for treatment of injuries.
Redondo Beach police received word about 5:50 a.m. Sunday that someone was pointing a firearm at another person inside a vehicle but the caller hung up before providing the location, Redondo Beach Police Department Lt. Vince Dileva said.
The location was traced to the 1900 block of Mathews Avenue, where officers learned two residents were the victims of a home-invasion robbery, Dileva said. The suspects had fled the home on foot just before officers arrived.
