The Tourist Police and the Bicycle Brigade of the Sotillo Municipal Police in Anzoátegui state were reactivated from Paseo de la Cruz y el Mar, formerly Paseo Colón in Puerto La Cruz.

This initiative seeks to strengthen security and tourism for locals and visitors, Mayor Jesús Marcano stated at the event where 50 motorcycles, 26 bicycles, and two patrol vehicles were handed over.

The municipal leader confirmed that 100 police officers will be added to the brigade's relaunch, working in coordination with all state security forces.
