Only dogs can truly understand what it’s like to live in a cold, lonely place without the warmth of human touch, without even a hug or a gentle pat.

Life in a shelter can feel exactly like that, and sometimes, even worse. Sadly, more and more of our four-legged friends are ending up in such environments, and at times, it feels as though nothing can stop it.

This was the reality for one young puppy who, in the earliest chapter of her life, had already been shuffled between two shelters and even returned by an adopter.
