Chopping trees, thinning forests, and clearing bushes is just part of the work LFRA’s seasonal wildfire crew has been doing this summer. The team is made of only a few members, but cuts thousands of pounds in tree matter each summer to prevent wildfires in Northern Colorado.

Since the team’s conception in 2024, they’ve worked to improve the conditions in some of Larimer County’s most vulnerable areas, including for those living near the Alexander Mountain Fire burn area.
