(CNN) - Jaguar Land Rover is recalling more than 120,000 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles.

The affected model years are 2014 to 2017.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said the front suspension knuckles could crack, causing the suspension arm to detach, increasing the risk of a crash.

The recall is an expansion of nearly 17,000 vehicles.

Jaguar Land Rover will send notification letters to owners by the end of next month.

Dealers will inspect the knuckles and install a retaining bracket or replace the knuckle, if needed.
