SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) -- The new Jacobson Plaza in downtown Sioux Falls has been averaging 28-hundred visitors a day since its opening at the end of June.

And a lot of those visitors have been venturing beyond the playground and splash pad to explore nearby shops and restaurants.

Darla Utley of Sioux Falls brought her three grandchildren to the Jacobson Plaza for their very first visit to the new downtown attraction.

"Loved it. The kids had a blast and a lot of activities for the kids to do," Utley said.

But you can work up an appetite having so much fun in the playground.

"Whatever the kids want, they'll give them a cookie. They're spoiled, aren't you." "Yeah." "Yeah."

So the Utleys made the short walk across the street to buy treats at Mary's Mountain Cookies.
