Popular forward Sophie Cunningham was taken to the locker room with a knee injury after a collision on Sunday during a 99-93 road win against the Sun. 3

3Cunningham, a key part of the Fever, especially with Caitlin Clark out due to a groin injury, was standing under the basket playing defense when driving Sun guard Bria Hartley fell into her lower left leg after making a pass.

Cunningham, who could be seen yelling in pain, had to be helped to her feet and was later ruled out.

As soon as Hartley made contact with Cunningham’s lower right leg, the Fever standout immediately grabbed it and fell to the court.
