It’s their second preseason game, and the Chicago Bears will play their starters tonight against the Buffalo Bills; however, the Bills will not play many of theirs. With Chicago’s ones getting the nod, it would be nice to see them have some success, but in the immortal words of Allen Ezail Iverson, “We talkin’ about practice.”

The outcome of preseason games doesn’t matter. Coaches don’t game plan, and they don’t advance scout the players they’re facing. How else would you explain Matt Eberflus’ (8-2) lifetime preseason record?

Sure, the performances from the bubble players mean something, and they want to get good film on tape for all 32 teams, but the most important thing is to get in and out healthy.
